Sleep.

I'm not sure what to do about it for Z. He won't nap anymore. Some days I make him have quiet time. Some days when we have plans, I don't. And some days, he goes into his room, climbs up to his bunk bed, and puts himself to bed at 4:50.

The question is, do I let him sleep and see what time he awakens in the morning? Or should I wake a cranky boy for dinner who then won't be tired to go back to bed for the night?

Anyone have any input on what to do when the kiddo stops napping?

  1. You know, you're a little ahead of me in this department. Reid is just getting to the point where she won't sleep when it's afternoon nap time.

I've been insisting that she has "quiet time" which means she has to lay down and be quiet, but she doesn't have to sleep. 80% of the time she falls asleep. I've never had her conk out early in the afternoon though. And with Henry in the mix, we've never missed our "quiet time" for plans.

I can't/don't want to imagine a day without nap time.
