Rough night.

I'm not 100% sure why, but there are certainly lots of things that could contribute to how terribly I slept last night.

1. Anxiety. I took my last dose of ibuprofen at 10:30 last night. When the alarm went off at 4:30 for more pills, I only took the nifedipine. I was a little bit nervous about this, but my contraction count from Friday and Saturday definitely increased the concern. Both days I had no contractions in the morning, but starting at around 1 p.m. they would kick start. Then I'd consistently have 1-2 an hour until 9 p.m. when they would stop. I'm nervous for what will happen today and this coming week.

2. Congestion. Since late last summer we've talked with some good friends of ours about renting an insulation blower from Home Depot. J and T did it yesterday while C and I hung out with the little guy. I shouldn't complain because I wasn't the one up in the attic or at the machine dumping the bags of insulation. J and T probably have it much worse even though they wore masks. But man, I'm congested from the little bit of dust that blew our way while we were outside with Z (I was laying on the couch out there). A few of the times I woke last night I could hardly breathe.

3. Night sweats. Good Lord, I do not look forward to menopause. I don't know what's going on, but twice I woke up just drenched in sweat. One time I went and checked the thermostat I was convinced it was so warm (it was 72 degrees F, which isn't even warm enough for the a/c to kick start). I ended up pulling ice packs out of the freezer and sleeping with them around my head. It was ridiculous!

We'll see how today goes. Hopefully better.
