The belly.

One of the (many) things that makes me sad when I think about my pregnancy with Z is that I have so few pictures of me pregnant. We had an old crappy digital camera at the time and we rarely brought it along with us. I have a few pictures of us in Mexico on a long weekend when I was 20 weeks and some family pictures from Easter. But none of those actually show any sort of evidence that I was pregnant--other than the one at Easter where I'm holding a big stuffed monkey with a tag that reads "Sweet Pea." It's less about the belly and more about the big stuffed toy though.

When I went into the hospital I decided that this time I'd do what I could to have a few pictures--even if I looked like crap. So, Friday (24 weeks, 5 days pregnant), before my OB appointment, I put on some real clothes instead of comfy ones. On our way out the door, my mom snapped a few pictures. Granted, I have wet hair in pig tails and no make-up on my face--and Z is making his charming "Say Cheese" face--but hey, it's something.

Unfortunately, to access all my photo software and libraries, I have to sit at the desk in the office and plug the laptop into the external hard drive. So the version you see now is a screen shot of the image my mom took straight out of the camera. It's the best I can do on bed rest without making J move a bunch more stuff into the bedroom.

ETA: It is a screen shot because the default setting for my camera is to shoot in RAW format, not JPG. Without my editing software, I can't convert the RAW to JPG. Flickr won't upload RAW. I refuse to start shooting in JPG just for convenience now. I'd rather have the RAW later.
